Im Vorfeld der neuen The Game Awards, die in diesem Jahr die VGX ersetzen, hat man heute alle Nominierungen bekannt gegeben, die um die Auszeichnung des besten Spiel des Jahres kämpfen.
Die Liste wird wie fast in jedem Jahr von den üblichen großen Titeln angeführt; Call of Duty, Assassin´s Creed, FIFA, was jedoch nicht unbedingt heißt, dass diese den Award am Ende auch mit nach Hause nehmen. Anders als bei den Golden Joystick Awards besteht die Jury hier aus Vertretern der Industrie.
Die The Game Awards werden am 05. Dezember ausgestrahlt, unter anderem über das PlayStation Network.
