Nach Google Stadia hat nun auch Amazon ihren eigenen Game-Streaming Dienst Luna angekündigt, der seit einiger Zeit in Arbeit ist. Momentan ist dieser jedoch nur in den USA geplant.
Luna wird auf dem PC, Mac, Fire TV und Web Apps für iPhone und iPad verfügbar sein. Android lässt man wohl bewusst außen vor, da man mit Google Stadia in direkter Konkurrenz steht. Lediglich der offizielle Luna Controller wird hier noch benötigt, sowie eine Breitband-Internetverbindung am 10Mbit für 1080p Gaming und 35Mbit für 4K Streaming.
Luna verspricht Instant Access zu Spielen diverser Publisher und Genres, darunter Action, Adventure, Platformer, Indies, Shooter, RPGs, Racing, sowie klassische Spiele von Ubisoft, Capcom, 505 Games, Team 17 und viele weitere, die folgen werden. Ubisoft scheint bei Luna derweil eine besondere Rolle einzunehmen, wie man an den geplanten Abo-Optionen sehen kann. Diese möchten ihre kommende Titel wie Immortals: Fenyx Rising, Watch Dogs Legion oder Far Cry 6 direkt zum Launch anbieten.
Erwähnt werden Titel wie Resident Evil 7, Control, Panzer Dragoon, A Plague Tale: Innocence, The Surge 2, Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair, Iconoclasts, GRID, ABZU, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, um nur einige zu nennen. Diese stehen zunächst in 1080p bei 60fps zur Verfügung, während 4K Streams folgen.
