Hello There Games and Wired Productions have released the rhythm game 'AVICII Invector' featuring the legendary DJ, which revolves entirely around the music of AVICII. Players will experience a completely new kind of music game in mesmerizing soundscapes, either alone or in multiplayer mode.
AVICII – whose real name was Tim Bergling – was a passionate gamer during his lifetime and even worked on AVICII Invector for two years. The upcoming multi-platform release takes rhythm games to a new level and pays tribute to Bergling's music.
Following his tragic death in 2018, AVICII Invector was developed in collaboration with Bergling's family and allows fans to fly solo or against each other in split-screen. Twenty-five of his greatest hits carry the space pilot Stella from world to world. Her skills improve as more notes are hit across the three difficulty levels.
“Tim wanted to spread positivity with his music. Hopefully this game – with over two dozen songs by AVICII – can achieve just that,” says Klas Bergling, Tim's father. “Tim developed AVICII Invector together with Hello There Games a few years ago, and we are pleased to now be able to make the title available on multiple platforms. AVICII’s share of the net proceeds will benefit the Tim Bergling Foundation, which is dedicated to combating mental health problems in young people.”
