Active Matter, a tactical first-person shooter inspired by SCP, has been announced for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Players can expect a tense PvP experience in quantum-unstable zones.

The upcoming tactical PvP shooter Active Matter It promises an intense, suspenseful gaming experience and draws inspiration from the mysterious world of SCP to offer a unique story and dynamic gameplay mechanics. The shooter is being developed by Team Matter and Gaijin Entertainment, who are targeting the most modern platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Active Matter and a mysterious time travel

In Active Matter Players take on the roles of agents bound by a mysterious time loop, repeatedly returning to the same point. Each round is a desperate fight for survival in "quantum-unstable zones" teeming with active matter—a highly dangerous yet extremely valuable resource. But these zones harbor not only anomalies that defy the laws of physics, but also other agents and adversaries from alternate timelines, all pursuing the same goal: to secure as much active matter as possible and escape the loop.

The surroundings in Active Matter It is anything but static. The power of the active matter warps space and time, constantly reshaping the terrain and the dangers. Players encounter enemies who, after contact with the matter, have lost their minds or even their humanity. Therefore, being well-equipped is crucial: players improve their gear and expand their base to survive the battles between rival syndicates.

These factions are fighting fiercely for the valuable deposits of active matter, as they offer the only chance to escape the time loop and regain control over one's own destiny.

Fans can already look forward to the official website Register for the closed beta test, although a specific release date has not yet been announced.
