The Aliens game, which was announced back in 2011 and is being developed by SEGA Studio Creative Assembly, is still in development.

SEGA's European boss Jurgen Post confirmed this in the current print edition of MCV Magazine, where it says:

“Aliens remains one of our pillars. In May 2011, we announced that Creative Assembly had something to do with this brand – we didn't say anything else, so they have to read between the lines.”

Post continued, noting that 'Aliens: Colonial Marines' had sold well despite poor reviews, demonstrating SEGA's continued interest in the franchise. He added that Creative Assembly is a good developer and their goal is to create a high-quality game.

The fact that the games are in-house productions at Creative Assembly also makes the management of this production significantly easier, it concludes.
