After a little back and forth about whether the tactical first-person VR shooter 'TargetAssuming the game isn't even released, the first gameplay footage can be presented today. The title is being touted as a competitor to the popular 'Firewall: Zero Hour'.

Alvo is a purely multiplayer and team-based shooter where you compete in game modes like Search and Destroy, a 5 vs. 5 round-based game mode. Here, one side tries to plant the bomb, while the other side must defend the locations and/or defuse the bomb. The second game mode is called Free 4 All: everyone fights for themselves, no teams, no mercy. The third game mode is Domination: this is a game mode based on capturing and holding control points across the map. The team with the most points at a set time wins.

Alvo supports both the DualShock 4 controller and the AIM controller, although the latter is recommended to get the highest level of immersion.

Alvo is expected to be available for PlayStation VR later this year. A good alternative is the game released today. Warzone, also for PlayStation VR.
