The horror survival game AMY has been available on the PlayStation Network for a week now and is being absolutely savaged in many reviews.

Developer Lexis Numérique naturally doesn't want to let that stand and defended His game, which apparently is more popular with users than with testers.

"We would like to thank everyone who purchased and reviewed the game on Xbox Live and the PSN Store. In fact, AMY has held the number 1 spot in the daily Xbox Live charts since its release in all major territories, and players have rated it 3 to 4 out of 5 on Xbox Live and more than 4 on PSN despite the controversy."

The testers themselves sometimes give the game disastrous scores of 10 or 20 percent, primarily criticizing the combat system. Hits often seem to miss, with Lexis Numérique suggesting this is due to the stress of such situations.

"As many of you have already heard, AMY is a difficult game. Some people dislike it, while others love it. We believe that's part of the survival experience we wanted to create in order to master the game."

Was AMY really just misunderstood by the testers? Lexis Numérique recommends starting the game on easy difficulty. We ourselves weren't that disappointed with the game, but we also felt it was a bit technically outdated. You can read our review of AMY here. read here.
