After a long break, new images of 'Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey', currently being developed by former Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Désilets, are revealed today.
The third-person action-adventure and survival game throws the player back into early human history (10 to 2 million years ago) and follows a documentary approach in which humanity is only one idea away from evolution or extinction.
Key gameplay elements include survival, resource management, and a vast game world with a focus on Africa, which will play a major role. There will be no swords or sword fights, but perhaps variations thereof. The goal is for the player to enjoy what they are given, and this will also shape the story.
The release date for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey remains unclear.
