The ambitious survival title 'Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey' by Patrice Desilets will apparently keep you busy for quite some time, as the creator now reveals.

The game is expected to take between 40 and 50 hours to complete, starting with you being dropped into the jungle and having to survive in this harsh environment as a primate. The interesting thing is that death, which comes in all sorts of forms, plays a significant role and can throw you right back to the beginning, for example, if you fail to continue your bloodline.

"When you die, you transfer to another clan member." so Desilets"So what happens if your entire clan dies? Your lineage would become extinct!"

Through carelessness, one can potentially lose all their progress... one can play for a long time... and suddenly die, much to the developers' regret. However, this experience can also represent progress, because at some point one must produce a new generation, one must reproduce in order to evolve further. According to Desilets, there are several stages of development, and time in the game passes between ten and two million years.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey represents only a kind of first episode, while later games also cover subsequent stages of human evolution.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be released in 2019.
