Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey – Gameplay Impressions from E3

By

Private Division and Panache Digital Games are showing new gameplay scenes from 'Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey' at E3, an exploration-survival game being developed under the direction of former Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Désilets.

In Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, players face the challenge of surviving and evolving in the beautiful but harsh environment of Africa between ten and two million years BC. In this innovative take on the open-world survival genre, players explore Neogene Africa as the ape-like ancestors of humankind.

As the game progresses, they expand their territory and evolve to survive and ensure the continuation of their clan. The game and its mechanics are based on evolution, exploration, and survival. Players traverse a variety of terrains and environments, encounter different predators, and learn new skills that they pass on to the next generation of their family group.
