Starting today, February 10, 2026, in ARC Raiders Embark Studios announced a new Shared Watch event via social media. The event will run for two weeks until February 24th and appears to be aimed exclusively at PvE players.
Anyone who finds themselves in the machine-plagued world of ARC Raiders Players who team up will earn rewards while fighting AI opponents. The developers describe the event as a cooperative initiative where teams of players work together. Embark Studios didn't provide any specific details about the difficulty level or exclusive loot drops – as usual, much of the marketing jargon ("earns rewards") remains vague.
There are some figures to report: Players can unlock permanent cosmetic items like the "Patchwork Outfit (evolved)" or Scrappy Cosmetics. For veterans who have already completed expeditions, icons like the "Expedition Indicator" will be further enhanced.
Preparing for the next in-game expedition
Registration for the Shared Watch event will open on February 25, 2026, immediately after the event concludes. next in-game expeditionThe actual start is on March 1st. Embark Studios is using this system to make any missed coins from the first expedition available retroactively. Players participating for the first time will receive the rewards from the first expedition, while returning participants will receive new incentives.
The bonuses for the second expedition include, among other things:
- Stash slot capacity increased from 12 to 24
- Up to 5 additional skill points (+ points already missed from the first expedition)
- Improved buffs: 5→10% XP boost, 6→12% material boost, repair value increase from 60→70%
These systems are not new to the industry: Multi-wave events with catch-up mechanics are already familiar from titles such as... Destiny 2 or The Division, where players can also gather resources to boost progression and monetization. Embark Studios positions this as a convenience feature, but the real purpose remains the same: player retention and an incentive to return regularly.

A sober outlook
For ARC Raiders This reveals a trend that is becoming increasingly standard in the shooter PvE niche: event cycles and expedition systems primarily serve player retention and monetization potential. The announced cosmetic items and buffs offer a nice bonus, but are not game-changers. Innovation is limited to the combination of the Shared Watch event and the subsequent expedition, not to fundamentally new gameplay mechanics.
Players should expect similar events to appear more frequently in the future, as long as player interest remains high and monetization works. While the progression boost might be useful for hardcore PvE fans, casual players will question whether the two-week time commitment is justified.
