The developers of "ARC Raiders" are responding to criticism of the Riven Tides expansion with patch 1.27.0, but have postponed the promised balancing adjustments indefinitely. The update primarily focuses on technical fixes and the implementation of new cosmetic bundles in the in-game shop.

Update 1.27.0 is now available after restarting the game. The focus is on fixing technical issues reported since the release of Riven Tides. The audio in densely vegetated areas has been corrected, as has a bug that caused turbine noises to overpower other sound effects. A collision loophole on the Stella Montis map, which allowed shots to pass through walls, has been closed.

Bug fixes dominate the patch notes.

The utility items in “A.R.C. Raiders“An important change has been implemented. A bug with trigger grenades that allowed them to explode immediately after being thrown has been fixed. Players can now block ticks while carrying items without having to manually drop them beforehand. The visual visibility of turbine attacks and proximity mines has been increased at a distance to improve the readability of combat.”

Alongside these fixes, the studio is introducing the Corsaro set and the Mutton Chops Facial Hair Bundle. The Howdy emote can now be used while sprinting. Color adjustments have been made to the Rachetta gear to correct its appearance. On the progression front, the display of catch-up rewards in the Late Departure window has been corrected.

The studio statement is quite revealing. They are currently investigating how to revert the controversial changes introduced in the Riven Tides expansion. Specific details or a release timeframe for these balancing adjustments are completely absent from the current patch notes. Instead, players are being directed to the hunt for "Merits."
