Skydance Interactive's VR mech shooter 'Archangel', announced at E3, will be released next week, as Sony revealed during the event. their PlayStation Store preview approved.
Besides epic battles, Archangel aims to score points with a compelling and personal story in which players fight together against a private conglomerate in a dystopian America. Free people and even a functioning state apparatus no longer exist at this point, leading to the formation of resistance groups like the United States Free Forces, who fight each other using giant mechs.
The gameplay focuses on a large arsenal of weapons, two giant hands for melee combat that can easily knock entire planes out of the sky, and a variety of essential abilities that the mechs possess. These allow you to fend off increasingly powerful waves of attackers, earn XP, level up, and successfully lead the resistance.
As a preview of this VR spectacle, here are some gameplay scenes from the title.
