Following many rumors about the next Assassin's Creed game, more and more details are emerging, apparently promising a complete reboot of the franchise.

Under the codename 'Assassin's Creed Empire', a game set in Egypt is planned as the first installment, marking the start of a new trilogy. Ubisoft apparently already has further plans, intending to include ancient Greece and Rome, the latter having already been featured in an Assassin's Creed game. Going much further back in time is said to give the development team more freedom, without having to adhere to historical accuracy.

Ubisoft continues to decline to comment on these rumors, so we can only wait and see which ones prove true. It could be quite some time before an official announcement.
