Ubisoft will release Title Update 1.1.11 for “Assassin's Creed Shadows” on June 16, 2026 at 14:00 PM, which will introduce a new story quest and crossover content as well as the challenging endgame feature “Domains”.
The patch weighs in at a massive 26,1 gigabytes on Xbox Series X|S, while PC players have to download 21,69 gigabytes. PlayStation 5 (10,01 GB), Steam (10 GB), Nintendo Switch 2 (9.5 GB), and Mac (9 GB) are significantly smaller.
The new endgame demands build optimization.
The biggest gameplay innovation is called "Domains." Starting at level 30, players unlock these five new gameplay simulations, each spanning ten difficulty levels. The developers' goal is clear: modifiers force players to rethink their strategies for established equipment setups. Tactics that work in one domain will fail in the next.
As a reward, players will receive exclusive armor, weapons, and engravings that, according to Ubisoft, will not be available in the in-game shop or through normal trading. Those aiming to master the highest difficulty level will be forced to push the existing equipment system to its absolute limits. This means systematically farming Mythic and Artifact upgrades. Period.
Unequal treatment of platforms in crossover projects
With "Black TidesThe update integrates a free story quest that takes two elite Templars called "Black Cross" to Japan. To start this mission, the main story of Naoe and Yasuke, as well as the post-launch quests "A Critical Encounter" and "A Puzzlement," must be completed.
Additionally, the Animus Hub projects "Riptides" and "Undertow" are launching. These offer cosmetic rewards and weapons that can be unlocked by completing anomalies. However, Nintendo players are out of luck. The Switch 2 version will not receive this crossover content, as it is based on links to the remaster "Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced," which is not being released for the Nintendo platform. Technical limitations are responsible for the content cuts.
Drastic rebalancing of adrenaline and boss fights
The update makes significant changes to the game mechanics and damage calculation. All abilities that destroy enemy armor lose exactly half their effectiveness when fighting bosses. This noticeably undermines overpowered offensive builds. Furthermore, all perks that generate adrenaline—such as those for headshots, critical hits, or hitting vulnerable enemies—have been restructured to use a percentage of the adrenaline bar and have been drastically weakened.
Ubisoft has fixed several bugs in the menu and crafting systems. Previously, it was possible to mistakenly apply ranged weapon perks to melee weapons, rendering them completely ineffective. These logical errors have been resolved. Display errors in stats are also a thing of the past: Yasuke's damage bonus for combo finishers was displayed in the interface as ten times higher than it actually was.
Update 1.1.11 delivers precisely the system fixes the action RPG desperately needed. The aggressive reduction of Adrenaline perks and boss armor breakers will noticeably slow down the combat system and make it more challenging. For long-time players, the flawless engravings and the tough endgame trials of the Domains provide genuine motivation. However, Switch 2 owners must wonder why, despite their powerful hardware, they're stuck with second-rate Animus tidbits.

Lol, I told you the games would get reciprocal skins. Personally, I think Edward looks better in Japanese armor than Yasuke and Noé in pirate outfits. Japan always works.
