Ubisoft will release Title Update 1.1.8 on February 17th for Assassin's Creed ShadowsThe patch size varies significantly depending on the platform: On Xbox Series X|S it's 15,77 GB, on PS5 only 1,73 GB. PC players download 13,24 GB, Steam users 2,2 GB, and Mac users 9 GB.
In terms of content, the update is more relevant than the file size suggests, especially for players who have been annoyed by inconsistent perk bonuses and a lack of parkour freedom.
Manual Jump: Control instead of context-based automation
With "Advanced Parkour" mode activated, manual jumping is now possible again. The Parkour Up button triggers a jump at any time, regardless of contextual objects.
This sounds trivial, but it's a fundamental change to the motion design. In recent installments, navigation was highly context-sensitive, which, while cinematic, came at the cost of control. Anyone wanting to precisely navigate rooftop trails or deliberately choose risky routes ran into limitations.
The return of manual jump is therefore less about nostalgia than a system fix. The crucial question is whether level geometry and collision detection are implemented cleanly enough to prevent exploits or animation interruptions.
Detailed Stats Sheet: Transparency for Build Players
Also new is a detailed statistics menu. Clicking the right stick (controller) or pressing TAB (PC) reveals all the values, synergies, and modifiers of your equipment. This is important because many perks previously either malfunctioned or didn't work at all, as this patch impressively demonstrates. From incorrectly calculated critical hit chances and non-functional damage reductions to excessively high multipliers, numerous effects have been fixed.
For example, a perk with "+50% Critical Chance while intact" effectively only provided +5%. Other bonuses increased damage in unintended situations or scaled afflictions incorrectly. Such inconsistencies undermine any build system. The new stats sheet is therefore more than just convenience; it's control over the math.
Stability, quests, and system fixes
In addition to gameplay adjustments, Ubisoft is fixing crashes, such as when starting New Game+ without owning certain content. Season changes no longer trigger XP reductions for contracts, and character changes no longer cause abrupt season changes.
Numerous quest bugs have also been addressed: missing rewards, blocked interactions, and mission failures. Affected players will automatically receive lost items or skills back upon reloading. Visual feedback has also been improved: critical hits now more clearly indicate how much they affect the enemy's health bar. No gameplay shift, but a clean UX update.
Update 1.1.8 for Assassin's Creed Shadows feels less like a feature-packed extravaganza and more like technical damage control – in a good way. It's becoming clear that active support is transitioning into pure maintenance, meaning players will now receive the best and most complete version.
Ubisoft has posted the full patch notes on the official website detained.

It's great that Ubisoft is continuing to improve the game. Now you can attack from the air, just like in Tushima and Yotei.
