Just recently, it was said that we might be getting two Assassin's Creed games next year, but current statements from Ubisoft sound quite different.

As Ubisoft President Laurent Detoc said about this expressedThey wouldn't release a game that would likely only achieve a 70 percent rating. That would only harm the franchise, especially with big brands, where players would start to rethink their approach and distance themselves from the game.

Currently, around ten million players play Assassin's Creed, and they will likely continue to do so next year, given the new story, setting, and other features. The franchise always offers something new, but quality is essential. Beyond these existing players, there are many more who could be attracted to the franchise.
