Battlefield 3 players can expect strong support from developer DICE for quite some time, as producer Patrick Bach has now revealed.

Support for the shooter is planned until approximately mid-2013, even when other major titles like Medal of Honor are released.

“We here at DICE are focusing exclusively on Battlefield,” so Bach. "We want to make sure that if you're a Battlefield player, there should be plenty of Battlefield for you to dedicate your days to. We're focusing on dedicating 12 to 18 months to Battlefield 3 and the expansion packs."

The first expansion pack, called 'Close Quarters', will be released in June, followed by 'Armored Kill' and another one towards the end of the year.
