Battlefield 6 Season 2 of "REDSEC" enters its next phase, and the battle for Fort Lyndon, Hagental, and global NATO sites escalates. Starting from 17. February Players experience an All-Out War experience that perfectly combines strategy, teamwork, and chaos.
The new season is divided into three phases: "Extreme Measures", "Nightfall", and "Hunt/Prey", each with own cards, modes and hardware.
Extreme measures: VL-7 changes the battlefield
The first phase introduces the experimental psychoactive smoke VL-7, which causes hallucinations in unprotected soldiers and forces tactical decisions in real time. The new map "Contaminated," set in a German airbase, offers expansive terrain with flanking routes, destructible structures, and vehicles—from the AH-6 Little Bird to tanks. Players must scavenge and strategically use gas masks to survive the effects of VL-7.
Additionally, Season 2 brings three new weapons (GRT-CPS precision rifle, VCR-2 assault rifle, M121 A2 LMG) and two new gadgets (9K38 IGLA anti-aircraft launcher and HTI-MK2 hardware suppression system) to the game. The return of the AH-6 Little Bird offers experienced pilots tactical superiority, while the new weapons cover a wide range of combat styles, from close-quarters to long range.
Nightfall: Tactics in the Dark
Starting March 17th, things will get dark: The second phase, "Nightfall," shifts the action to the Hagental base in Bavaria. This underground facility is ideal for intense infantry battles. Players will need to utilize tunnels, identify flanking routes, and skillfully employ gadgets. New night-time features like night vision goggles and flashlights will be essential for maintaining visibility in the darkness.
REDSEC also benefits: Gauntlet receives a darkness update with night vision, VL-7 smoke, and tactical challenges. New vehicles like the M1030-1 motocross bike allow for quick maneuvers but offer little protection. Close-quarters weapons like the CZ3A1 submachine gun and VZ.61 ensure intense close-quarters combat.

Hunting/Prey: Operation Augur and final escalation
The final phase, "Hunt/Prey," begins on April 14th. Here, the fate of the Hagental base in Operation Augur will be decided. Players take on the roles of Pax Armata or NATO and fight for control of the base. A new vehicle, the LTF (Light Tactical Vehicle), offers mobility with solid armor. Close-quarters combat is intensified with the KAPOK 14" machete, which enables tactical takedowns.
Battlefield 6 and REDSEC They continue to offer portal updates, bonus paths with exclusive rewards, returning hardware from Season 1, and free functional content for newcomers. This allows all players, regardless of when they started, to catch up with the current seasons and use the latest weapons, gadgets, and vehicles.
