Bayonetta is back, albeit not in her own game, but as part of a special collaboration. At the Tokyo Game Show 2025, NEXON announced a crossover between The First Descendant and the legendary Umbra Witch. From the 6. November Players will be able to enjoy exclusive skins and effects that bring Bayonetta's unmistakable style to the game.
The accompanying trailer features Gley with the collaborative weapon skin "The Last Dagger," inspired by Bayonetta's iconic "Scarborough Fair" pistols. The combat is particularly exciting, reminiscent of the familiar "Witch Time" mechanic – projectiles linger in slow motion while the player maintains the upper hand.
Skins, effects and more
The collaboration brings not only weapon skins, but also a complete Bayonetta character skin, heel-pistol designs, makeup options, and special social animations to the game. Even spawn and despawn effects reflect the witch's aesthetic. For fans of the series, this should be a nostalgic moment, and for newcomers, an exciting introduction to Bayonetta's style.

Crossovers are commonplace in gaming these days. But Bayonetta fits surprisingly well thematically. The First DescendantBoth games rely on fast-paced, stylized combat that thrives on aesthetics. The question is whether this collaboration will remain just a short-term fan service or generate more attention in the long run. For PS5 players, it could be the perfect time to give the looter-shooter another try.
What do you think? Is it Bayonetta Is a collaboration a reason to revisit The First Descendant – or does it require more than just cosmetic content?

As cool as the skins are, B2 isn't for me; everything is too cluttered, the menus are too busy, and if you weren't there from the beginning with a game like this, you'll hardly get the hang of it later.
