The Kara Tech Demo The game from Quantic Dream, which was shown about a year ago, sparked a lot of speculation and many connections were seen to the then unannounced Beyond: Two Souls.

However, the two things have nothing to do with each other, as Quantic Dream boss David Cage has now explained; they simply wanted to demonstrate the new technology with Kara.

"Kara and Beyond have nothing to do with each other," so Cage. Kara was a short story I envisioned to create an emotional journey in five minutes and to test performance capturing. I'm really proud of Kara. Thanks to the amazing performance by actress Valorie Curry, it's actually much more powerful than I could have imagined.

If one had to describe the differences to Beyond more precisely, Cage would say that the story in Beyond is of course much longer, telling the story of a life in ten hours, experiencing completely different situations, different emotions – a unique and meaningful journey in someone's life.

David Cage hopes that this will at least make players love Jodie Holmes more than Kara from the tech demo.
