THQ Nordic and developer Experiments 101 have released a PS5 version of Biomutant Officially confirmed. Previously, it was only mentioned that there were optimizations for the next-gen consoles.
In a detailed FAQ The developer confirmed that a dedicated PS5 version will follow at some point in the future. However, no further details about this version are available at this time. Therefore, a release in the near future doesn't seem likely.
Until then, you'll have to make do with the PS4 version, which is already quite impressive. On the technical side, this Full HD resolution promises... at up to 60fps on the PS4 ProImpressions of this can be found in the video below.
UpdateThe developer has confirmed the preliminary performance on PS5, which is based on 1080p resolution plus 4K resolution via upscaling at 60fps. The Xbox Series X version, however, runs in native 4K at 60fps, thanks to the console's architecture. This isn't currently possible on PS5 for technical reasons, but they plan to share more information as soon as possible. Specific PS5 features are also not yet available. However, a gameplay video for the PS5 version is already available.
Demo version & Unlock Time
The FAQ also answers the question about a demo, which will not be held in this case. Biomutant Since it's an open-world game, it would be difficult to know where to draw the line with a demo. Therefore, one is omitted.
In the case of [the following], you have to [before playing for the first time] Biomutant You'll have to be patient anyway, as it won't be unlocked immediately at midnight on release day. According to the FAQ, the digital version won't be available until 4 PM in Germany, and there doesn't seem to be a pre-load option. Buyers of the disc version therefore have a slight advantage.
