BioShock movie adaptation back on the table? Sony secures web domains

As things stand, the BioShock movie project is currently on hold; too expensive, not feasible, and lacking the necessary personnel. Consequently, the whole thing, which has been underway for several years, quickly disappeared.

A glimmer of hope has emerged from Sony Pictures, who have recently secured the web domains 'bioshock-movie.com', 'bioshock-movie.net', and 'bio-shock.net'. This could indicate that they have resumed work on the project or are simply taking precautions to avoid losing the domains later.

Whether Ken Levine, the creator of the BioShock series, will have any say in the matter is questionable, given that he abandoned his own studio and turned his back on 2K Games. It's possible the publisher will now proceed with the film adaptation without his approval.
