PaperSeven Studios today announced their first project, the story-driven adventure 'Blackwood Crossing', which will be released in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Blackwood Crossing is a story-driven, first-person adventure game that explores the relationship between orphaned siblings Finn and Scarlett. Teenager Scarlett is leaving her childhood behind and beginning to drift apart from her younger brother. When their paths cross with a mysterious figure, a seemingly ordinary train journey unfolds into a magical tale of life, love, and loss.
“Blackwood Crossing is our first original game since we founded PaperSeven and we are incredibly proud to finally reveal it,” says Alice Guy, co-founder of PaperSeven. “Recently, some fantastic story-driven adventure games have been released, and we hope to join their ranks while offering something different. With Blackwood Crossing, we want to create a deep gaming experience that is free from the clichés we often see in video games.”
PaperSeven Studios was formed by former members of Disney Black Rock Studios (Pure / SplitSecond) and Oliver Reid-Smith, the author of The Room, who aim to make games that explore emotional themes and take players on meaningful and unexpected journeys.
Blackwood Crossing will be released in 2017.
