Ten years. A decade. That's how long it's been since Bloodborne It transported us to the dark, nightmarish world of Yharnam and made gamers' hearts beat faster – whether from enthusiasm or pure frustration at yet another screen death. But while other titles from the same era have long since received remasters, sequels, or at least a PC port, this remains the case with... Bloodborne Silence. A silence that grows louder than any announcement.
The straw that broke the camel's back
PlayStation UK released a few days ago X displays a list of games, which will celebrate their tenth anniversary in 2025. These include: The Witcher 3, Yakuza 0 and – of course – BloodborneA harmless list, one might think. But the fans saw red. The comments section practically exploded, showcasing all five stages of grief.
"If you don't want to do anything about it, STOP GIVING US HOPE!" "Scream!" one user shouted into the digital void, while another soberly stated: "I'm tired, Boss." And who can blame them? After all, Bloodborne More than a game – it's a religion, a philosophy of life, a test of patience and skill. And like any religion, this one also needs new sermons. Or at least a PC port.
Humor as a last resort
While X rages, flees Reddit into his usual cynical self-irony. One theory: Bloodborne Let it be the sixth game in the list, the sixth letter is "b", therefore: Bloodborne 2 Confirmed. Others go even further and speculate about a possible crossover with Assassin's Creed"Bloodborne Origins – Tales of the Blood." But whether it's a meme or genuine anger, Sony remains silent. No anniversary event, no remaster, not even a fancy PSN profile picture to keep the flame of hope alive.
Perhaps Sony will do something for the tenth anniversary. Perhaps not. One thing is certain: every tweet, every hint, and every list is like a salt shaker on the open wound of the fans. But as long as there's no official gravestone for Bloodborne Hope remains alive, however toxic it may be.
Anyone who wants to survive in Yharnam knows: hope dies last. And then it respawns.
