Koei Tecmo and Gust today released further details and a trailer for their new role-playing game, 'Blue Reflection', which will be released for PlayStation 4 in September. The new video offers a glimpse into the mysterious parallel dimension, The Common, and the magical abilities of the Realm Champions.
Blue Reflection puts players in the role of high school student Hinako Shirai, who learns that there's more to her peaceful life than meets the eye. While trying to find her way back to normalcy after an accident, Hinako encounters her school friend Sanau Nishida amidst a sea of unfamiliar faces. She senses a strange aura around him and soon finds herself in a mysterious world where a menacing demon awaits. Before she can react, the magical Shijou twins – Yuzu and Lime – reach her and grant Hinako the powers of a Reflector.
In this way, Hinako also discovers the mysterious parallel dimension known as The Common. Created by humanity's subconscious, it harbors the root causes of all our worries and troubles. Together with Yuzu and Lime, Hinako fearlessly plunges into this unknown world in search of the crystallized Emotion Fragments – the manifestation of all her classmates' problems. But a multitude of challenges await her on the journey. Players will visit unique and dangerous locations and battle deadly demons to find the Emotion Fragments and solve the problems of Hinako's classmates in the real world.

While Hinako and her friends battle the demons of Hoshinomiya Girls' Academy, destructive forces in the form of the Sephira draw ever closer. These gigantic creatures, endowed with overwhelming power, threaten to destroy the world forever. To protect their classmates and all of humanity, Hinako, Yuzu, and Lime transform into their magical Reflector forms and harness the energy of emotions to eliminate the Sephira threat once and for all.
Along with the captivating trailer, KOEI TECMO Europe has also released new screenshots and artwork. These show, for the first time, Hinako, Yuzu, and Lime's Reflector forms, as well as some of their classmates: the highly intelligent Yuri Saiki, the kind-hearted chef Sanae Nishida, Hinako's former ballet rival Sarasa Moshikawa, the young actress Mao Ninagawa, and the ambitious Ako Ichinose.
Blue Reflection will be available from September 29th.
