Playtonic Friends has announced the release date of their rhythmic shooter. BPM: Bullets Per Minute Confirmed for release this October on PS4 and PS5. On the newer consoles, it will run in 4K at a smooth 60fps.

In BPM: Bullets Per Minute All your actions and those of your enemies are synchronized to the beat of the music. For example, if they're performing an epic rock opera, you'll have to skillfully dodge these "attacks." The game draws inspiration from 90s retro shooters.

The goal in BPM: Bullets Per Minute The goal is to reach the end of randomly generated dungeons, where you'll find different weapons, abilities, and items each time. These weapons and abilities can radically change your playstyle, making every playthrough unique.

Ahead of you lie seven bosses, blocking the path to the ultimate final boss. Each boss has its own unique way of moving and attacking, and you must learn to exploit their respective weaknesses. Some attacks require you to jump over lava fields, others demand you dodge fast-moving projectiles, and still others require you to run quickly to wind up for a strike.

Further impressions of the game can be found in a recent special on the PlayStation Blog, while BPM: Bullets Per Minute even on October 05th.
