Activision announced today that the latest add-on content, 'Apocalypse', for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is now also available on PlayStation 3.
The fourth and final DLC offers four exciting and varied multiplayer maps, as well as the new Zombies chapter "Origins." In this conclusion to the Zombies story for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, players will once again encounter the original heroes from Call of Duty: World at War.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse includes four diverse multiplayer maps:
- Pod: In a failed utopian colony from the 70s, numerous dilapidated living pods stand embedded in an abandoned cliff face in Taiwan. The modernist terrain is now the arena for frenetic battles, in which players fight for strategic advantages both on the pods and within their multi-story interiors.
- Frost: Fresh snow meets explosive gunpowder in this snow-covered European city. A bridge over the frozen canal divides the city in two, requiring exceptional strategic skill to cross, outsmart, and defeat opponents.
- Takeoff: Fans of "Stadium" from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike DLC will feel right at home with "Takeoff." Abandoned and located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, this labyrinthine missile base and open areas guarantee thrilling close-quarters combat action.
- Dig: In this adaptation of the popular "Courtyard" map from Call of Duty: World at War, two excavation sites in Afghanistan become the perfect playground for players seeking frantic and non-stop action. True to the style of "Courtyard," Treyarch offers fans a reimagined version of the map's many paths, featuring two bottlenecks, a wide, open layout, and elevated platforms.
In addition to the four maps, there is Apocalypse with Origins It also features the most terrifying and imaginative zombie experience yet. Players are transported to France during the First World War – everything here is completely dieselpunk. There, they not only encounter Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Rictofen, the heroes from the first Zombies map, but they must also defend themselves against hordes of zombies that have overrun trenches, fields, and the ruins of a mysterious and ancient settlement.
