While the first BETA test of 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' has already taken place, round 2 will follow next weekend, where more players will be able to participate.
To offer something new to the current beta testers, new content will be added in Round 2, as developer Treyarch revealed via Reddit. This will include the map 'Hacienda', which has already been released. in the BETA trailer What was shown, but is not yet playable, is also planned. Furthermore, another game mode is in development, the details of which Treyarch is keeping under wraps. Finally, the level cap will be raised next weekend, and there will be a Double XP event during the second test period. However, it's also worth noting that progress made during the test phase will not carry over to the final game.
“Our studio team is working hard to make this the deepest and most rewarding multiplayer game we’ve ever developed. We want to use player feedback to ensure the game launch is as smooth as possible. That’s why we can’t wait for fans to dive in and tell us what they think.” Treyarch has commented on the BETA test so far.
Multiplayer Beta Weekend 2:
- Friday, August 10, 19 p.m. – Monday, August 13, 19 p.m. (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC)
- Saturday, August 11, 19 PM – Monday, August 13 (open beta, PC only)
In September, a separate beta test for the Blackout mode, which is based on the battle royale concept, will follow. Further details will be released later. Those who wish to participate in the test phases can still pre-order the game and thus secure access.
Finally, it is pointed out that the BETA version does not correspond to the final product and therefore various problems may still occur, including technical anomalies, an unbalanced balance, etc., which will be optimized based on the feedback.
(Update)
The second test phase, which begins this evening, will also include the new game mode 'Heist', as confirmed by Treyarch. In this turn-based game mode for two teams, the objective is to grab a cash cache and deliver it safely to a designated helicopter rendezvous point for pickup. The team that successfully completes the mission wins the round. However, each player has limited health and can only be healed by one teammate if they are downed. Additional features can also be unlocked within a match.
The second beta test round starts tonight at 19 PM!
