Activision invites Call of Duty fans to the biggest gathering of the global Call of Duty community again this year, Call of Duty XP, an ultimate interactive experience and festival for fans, taking place at The Forum in Inglewood, California, from September 2nd to 4th.
Call of Duty XP 2016 showcases the thrilling Call of Duty World League Championship finals, played in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, as well as the reveal and first playable versions of the multiplayer modes for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and new downloadable Call of Duty: Black Ops III content. Fans can also experience the first-ever Call of Duty VR experience on-site and participate in other Call of Duty-inspired action activities such as Nuketown paintball and Zombies laser tag.
At Call of Duty XP, fans will have the unique opportunity to try out the latest Call of Duty games before their release on November 4th. Thousands of fans will witness the world premiere of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer, as well as Infinity Ward's brand-new co-op Zombies mode. Attendees will also be the first to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered's multiplayer. To further reflect the full scope of the Call of Duty franchise, attendees will also be among the first to play new downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. All Call of Duty XP attendees will have the chance to win prizes by showcasing their skills in 6v6 matches at over 500 gaming stations on-site.
"The Call of Duty XP will be the biggest Call of Duty fan festival in history," said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision. "The world's best Call of Duty players will take center stage as they attempt to win the first-ever Call of Duty World League Championship at what is sure to be our biggest esports event yet. Fans will also have the opportunity to experience more playable content and reveals than ever before, from Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered to the very latest Black Ops III DLC. Plus, there will be plenty of Call of Duty-inspired activities you won't find anywhere else."
The Call of Duty XP was designed specifically for the community, immersing fans in the action and excitement that defines Call of Duty. Players can challenge each other in a crazy paintball battle on a life-size Call of Duty: Black Ops Nuketown multiplayer map, or team up with other fans for an intense laser tag experience inspired by the new Zombies mode from Infinite Warfare.
“As a presenting partner of the Call of Duty World League, it has been exciting to watch these talented teams compete, and we look forward to the tournament's climax during the Call of Duty Championship. We are also very excited to contribute PlayStation VR to the fantastic range of event activities, where fans can pilot their own Jackal fighter jet.” said Adam Boyes, VP Publisher Relations, Sony Interactive Entertainment America. “We are proud of our partnership with Activision and Call of Duty in bringing back this historic fan celebration and Call of Duty community gathering that no one should miss.”
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and the remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on November 04, 2016.
