What happens when an iconic horror franchise like Hellraiser dares to take the leap into first-person survival horror? Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival The answer is clear: It will be bloody, disturbing, and incredibly mystical. Saber Interactive is bringing back the legendary puzzle box – and with it, the iconic Pinhead, played by Doug Bradley himself.
The Genesis Configuration: More than just a cube
In the center of Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival The game features the so-called "Genesis Configuration," a new version of the familiar puzzle box. Players take on the role of Aidan, who must fight his way through a nightmarish labyrinth to rescue his girlfriend Sunny, while being drawn ever deeper into hell himself. The game uses the box not only as a story element but also as a central gameplay feature. Combined with conventional weapons, it unleashes infernal powers that can be used against cultists, Cenobites, and other sadistic enemies.
The trailer promises tactical depth thanks to a mix of supernatural power and conventional combat. Whether the gameplay lives up to this claim remains to be seen, but the scenes shown suggest a consistently brutal and stylistically dense presentation.
Pinhead, Pain and the Return to the Roots
Our preview of Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival seems to be HellraiserThe franchise isn't simply entering the gaming canon, but rather reinventing itself to some extent. Clive Barker's dark vision of pain and pleasure isn't watered down here, but directly implemented. Players must make a pact with Pinhead – and this bargain has consequences. The return of Doug Bradley as the iconic hell priest should be especially exciting for fans of the series.
The production clearly follows Barker's original work. Dark architecture, carnal violence, an omnipresent sense of guilt and temptation. Who Hellraiser Anyone who knows this knows: There is no happy ending here – at best, redemption through pain.
Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival appears for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Whether the mix of story, horror, and intense action lives up to expectations remains to be seen. However, the concept seems well thought out, and the license is clearly being handled with respect.
When Hellraiser One thing is possible: crossing boundaries. Revival So, is this just fan service – or is a new, playable nightmare actually being created? What do you think?

What's up with Saber? I just recently finished the awesome Robocop add-on (I'm missing New Game Plus). They really make good games. I still need to try Terminator.
And especially brands from the 90s, games by men for men
Isn't Robocop by Teyon?!
The publisher was Nacon, I think you've got something mixed up xD
But Saber is bringing out Turok, Jurassic Park Survival, and now Hellraiser... so great franchises and not that watered-down crap, that's true (if the games turn out well).
