Since the release of 'Conan Exiles' last year, players have been missing a crucial feature – mounts – which Funcom is now implementing.
With a free update, all Exiles can capture and train their own mounts. There's also a new pet leveling system and mounted combat. This means players can finally charge into battle, raise their swords, and drive their enemies before them.
“Mounted combat has been part of the vision that brought Conan Exiles to life since the very beginning. It’s exciting to finally make this dream accessible to players who have been waiting for it for so long,” says Creative Director Joel Bylos.
While the mount system is free for all players, a new DLC, Riders of Hyboria, will also be released simultaneously for €9,99 as part of the Year 2 Season Pass. This offers a wider selection of mounts and armor, but no gameplay advantages.
- Two exclusive mount skins, one suitable for a noble knight in shining armor and one for a dark, nasty warlord
- Six exclusive saddles for different types of play, such as scout or cavalry.
- 25 new mount-specific building items, for building their own stables
- Three new armor sets, including the legendary Poitain Cavalier armor.
- 11 new weapons, such as lances, broadswords, katana and warhammer of the proud nation of Poitain.
- 14 new decorative items to beautify the stables.
The mount system is now available on all platforms simultaneously.
