Developer Remedy has announced a performance patch for 'Control' on PS4 and Xbox One after it received quite negative reviews.

The framerate in Control sometimes drops below 20fps, which is far from a stellar optimization performance. Therefore, Remedy addressed the players in a blog post and writes about it:

"The team is currently exploring ways to improve console optimization in Control. However, as you can hopefully understand, this takes time and doesn't happen at the push of a button (as often as we'd like). We're also investigating certain issues that some players have encountered and are looking for solutions. We'll be sure to share any further information we have through our community channels."

In addition to overall performance, the developers are also working on other features such as motion blur options, HDR support, the in-game map, and more. Details on these will be released at a later date.
