According to developer Crytek, anyone who wants to remain relevant in the industry in a few years must not miss the boat when it comes to virtual reality.

The expressed Crytek's Director of Production, David Bowman, believes that VR will be a crucial part of the industry in a few years, changing the way we entertain. Anyone who wants to remain relevant by then should be able to offer a VR solution, just like themselves.

The German-based developer recently announced the project 'Robinson: The Journey', which was described as follows:

"Since Crytek's founding, we have strived to create realistic and believable worlds for players. Modern VR technologies allow us to combine the capabilities of CRYENGINE with our ambition to create immersive gaming experiences."
