While David Jaffe enjoyed great success with games like God of War or Twisted Metal, things didn't go so well with his own studio and his only project to date, 'Drawn to Death'.
Admittedly, Drawn to Death was quite niche and ultimately didn't appeal to the mass market. Nevertheless, the developers persevered and were recently working on a new project, which unfortunately had to be canceled. In January, a wave of layoffs followed while the company searched for new investors. Apparently with little success, as they have now announced the closure of their own studio.
Any So Cal gamers interested in owning some gaming history? Sadly we are shutting down our Bartlet Jones offices and there's some great props that we're trying to unload to folks who are into such things. Ex: Sweet Tooth's machete we used in TM2012 movies; Sweet Chick's mask, etc.

Whether David Jaffe already has new plans or will possibly return to Sony remains to be seen.
