Bohemia Interactive has released update 1.10 for DayZ Released on all platforms, it brings with it tons of changes. This includes the long-awaited return of the M3S truck.
Furthermore, all vehicles now offer a longer engine lifespan in the event of environmental collisions, as well as the possibility to repair the vehicle's chassis with epoxy putty and the engine itself with a pipe wrench (unless the engine is damaged).
New shelters are now available in three versions (Stock, tarpaulin, leather), which provide basic storage capacity and protection from rain. Speaking of elements: Cold mornings and warm afternoons are now more realistic, as are local wind speeds and altitudes. Additionally, players can temporarily gain warmth from fireplaces.
The user interface includes information on the thermal insulation qualities of an individual garment, as well as the limits for thermal insulation/maximum absorption of all newly balanced garments, giving players a variety of options for protection against rain or cold.
Leg fractures are back, as are improvised devices (splints). Legs can be broken in all sorts of situations, including fighting, stepping on a bear trap, falling or jumping from a great height, and even jumping out of a car. Keep in mind that if a fracture isn't immobilized with a splint, you'll suffer restricted movement and frequent shock damage, which can cause you to lose consciousness. Visualizations of your current shock levels (i.e., how close you are to losing consciousness) and when the actual shock damage will be inflicted have also been added. Applied splints are also visible on the injured player.
The update is rounded out by the return of the flare gun, which can illuminate the night sky in four different colors. Item lifespans have been drastically reduced, and locked doors will remain locked during server restarts, while the remaining doors will be randomly arranged.
