DayZ Bohemia Interactive has received a performance update today, promising a significantly improved experience.
The new update stabilizes key game features and the overall experience. This includes zombie behavior, vehicle interaction, sea fishing, gardening, damage triggers, server capacity, and more.
With update 1.11, both characters and official servers will be completely deleted, marking a fresh start this year. This is also intended to ensure a clean foundation for monitoring the changes made with previous economy updates.
“It’s not just about fixes,” the developer writes. “Players will be happy to learn that there’s a new weapon to discover – a badass rifle spawning at helicopter crash sites near Chernarus and Livonia, the SVAL, the Czech word for muscle. In addition, there are new 20-round magazines for 9x39 ammunition that can be used with both the SVAL and the VSS.”
