Bohemia Interactive is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the first official DLC for 'DayZ', including the new map 'Livoinia', which is showcased in a trailer.

Based on the recently released map from the spin-off expansion Arma 3 Contact, the Livonia region brings a new experience to the post-apocalyptic world of DayZ. With expansive green landscapes, dense forests, tranquil lakes, and winding rivers, the 163 km² map promises the perfect setting for any survivors lost in the wilderness.

The landscape isn't the only thing that DayZ players will find to enjoy. Livonia's mild late-summer climate often brings rain and thunderstorms, presenting players with additional challenges on their journeys – making protective gear and safety more important than ever. And with a new wilderness come new threats. Most notably, there's a new predator roaming the forests of Livonia – bears! – and they won't be friendly to human-made threats. Survivors will need to be well-equipped to deal effectively with these grizzly foes.

Livonia will be released soon along with update 1.06, which itself brings numerous new features for all players.
