A bit of a shock for PlayStation fans at the start of the week: 'Death Stranding' is no longer a PS4 exclusive. However, the worst-case scenario for many fans has been averted.
As developer Kojima Productions just announced on Twitter, Death Stranding will also be released for PC, but not until many months later, in the summer of 2020. Until then, Hideo Kojima's latest work will only be playable on PS4, while an Xbox One release is completely out of the question.

This follows the path already taken by Quantic Dream, who released their PS4 exclusive games Heavy Rain, Detroit: Become Human and Beyond: Two Souls for PC earlier this year.
It's unlikely that all PS4 exclusive titles will also be released for PC. Rather, this probably only applies to studios not directly owned by Sony that apparently want to release their games outside of the PlayStation ecosystem.
Death Stranding will initially be released on November 08th for PlayStation 4.
Update: The PC version will be published by 505 Games, as the publisher has now confirmed.
