The new IP will be a PS5 exclusive title. Deathloop Arkane also utilizes the console's exclusive features, especially those of the DualSense controller.

This has now been confirmed by Game Director Dinga Bakaba, who in an interview The advantages of the PS5 version were discussed. Besides technical aspects such as higher resolution, higher frame rate, and true HDR, the aim is also to fully utilize the immersion of a first-person game.

The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback of the DualSense controller are ideal for this, as Bakaba explains:

"The PS5 has many nice features with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. We have a first-person game, so we place great emphasis on immersion. You can really feel the weapons in your hand, their reaction, how they reload, how they react to being reloaded, etc. I think players will enjoy these features."

Deathloop is a first-person action title where you're stranded on an island called Blackreef – a place where there are no laws, only the eternal struggle between two exceptional assassins. Explore breathtaking environments and navigate through meticulously detailed and elaborately designed levels in immersive gameplay, where, in typical Arkane fashion, you can approach every situation your way. To break the cycle once and for all, you must explore the entire island and eliminate numerous targets. And remember: if you fail again and again… die until you win.

Deathloop It will initially be released exclusively for PlayStation 5.
