In the face of ever-increasing climate catastrophes and the inevitable end of the Earth in millions of years, there is already intense discussion about what comes next. This scenario is addressed in Deliver Us Mars which is considered a logical choice for a potential new home.

If humanity even makes it that far, one can with Deliver Us Mars Experience an exciting story about the challenges that exist on the Red Planet, which may now be absolutely deadly, but may one day be the only option.

Inspiration for this comes from Gravity,2001: A Space Odyssey, Interstellar or Moon, as developer KeokeN Interactive reveals. Koen Deetman, Game Director and co-founder of the studio, says:

"It's meant to be a gritty sci-fi story with a strong sense of realism. These films have influenced our games in terms of visual style and atmosphere."

But current events, research and technologies also contribute significantly, for example from companies like SpaceX.

“Mars is the most plausible option for the story we want to tell, and it’s the planet that government organizations and private space companies currently have their eyes on. […] We paid close attention to the Mars rovers to ensure that the game accurately depicts what Mars looks like during the day and at night.”

Saving the Earth should come first.

That said, it's understood that the challenges of life on Mars are still insurmountable in many respects. Should this prove impossible, the only remaining option is to save Earth, which will also be part of the story of Deliver Us Mars.

"Starting life on Mars is actually incredibly difficult. Mars is in a worse condition to support diverse life than Earth, where we live today. So the realization that saving our planet is actually the best-case scenario is the most important point we need to emphasize here."

Deliver Us Mars Released on September 27, 2022.
