Crossover promotion between Destiny 2 and Marathon
Bungie is using the launch of Marathon, to involve the community. This not only increases the anticipation for Marathon not only increased, but also the existing player base of Destiny This directly addresses players who already have both titles in mind, allowing them to benefit doubly.

Season finale and many questions
The shift of Destiny 2: Shadow & Order This raises questions. How much will the completion of the Year of Prophecy-Season? Which events or activities will remain affected? Those who play daily may need to reschedule at short notice.
Bungie is apparently foregoing a rushed release in order to keep the focus on Marathon to lay the groundwork while simultaneously securing player rewards. For the community, this likely means that their patience will pay off, and the upcoming expansion will probably be prepared all the more meticulously.
Finally, the question remains: Will Bungie release the new content from Shadow & Order Will it be delivered all at once or will the release be staggered in several phases? It's worth keeping a close eye on the announcements in the coming weeks for gamers.
That's just a rumor; there's nothing official yet.
