Diablo 4 is arguably one of the most anticipated games of 2023. Blizzard's action RPG aims to regain some of the goodwill lost with recent disappointing releases. To achieve this, they've opted for a darker aesthetic, more reminiscent of the second installment than its immediate predecessor. Of course, it will also feature the familiar addictive cycle of combat, looting, gearing up, and more combat, with a few new twists. The environments and game world are also a crucial element, and the developers have now released a new video showcasing them in detail.

Diablo 4: This is how the world is structured

Diablo 4 It takes place in the world of Sanctuary, which is divided into five areas. These are:

  • I developA desert region with dunes and lots of sand
  • ScosglenIt is meant to evoke Scotland.
  • Fractured PeaksSnow-covered mountains
  • Dry SteppesA mixture of desert and mountains
  • Hawezar: swamp

The regions blend seamlessly into one another. The developers emphasize that these transitions should always feel believable and not simply be abrupt. For example, they show a mountainous region with many waterfalls. There, the snow melts and flows downhill. The water then collects in the valley, forming the Hawezar swamps.

Each region also features its own unique architecture for temples, ruins, and other locations, all thematically appropriate and designed to create a cohesive and cohesive world. The minions of Hell have also been reworked and vary depending on the area. In the desert, you'll encounter giant scorpions, while caves are home to spiders. Some enemy types are familiar from previous games, while others are entirely new.

Diablo 4 It will be released on June 6th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. An open beta will take place at the end of March, and those who pre-order can even start playing a few days earlier. You can watch the video here:
