The new Battle Pass system in Diablo 4 launches in Season 8! Exclusive rewards, cosmetic items, mounts, and the legendary "Disguise of the Deceiver" set await.

Blizzard has launched Season 8 of Diablo 4 a far-reaching innovation has been announced, which the game's reward system has been fundamentally changedThe introduction of the so-called "Reliquary" as part of the new Battle Pass system is causing a stir. But what's behind this change, and how will it affect the gameplay experience?

Reliquaries replace the classic Battle Pass system and offer a more innovative and flexible way to unlock rewards. Instead of strictly adhering to a linear sequence, players can now unlock rewards in any order by earning so-called "favor tokens." These are obtained by killing monsters and completing quests—a system that provides more freedom and variety. But that's not the only surprise.

The new Reliquaries: Rewards that will make your heart beat faster

In Season 8, players can access four different reliquaries: Belial's return, Weapons, beasts and armorEach of these reliquaries offers a range of exclusive rewards – from cosmetic items like mounts and city portals to epic gear sets.

  • Belial's return (Free): This reliquary offers weapon cosmetics, horse cosmetics, and even platinum. As a bonus, it includes gloves from the "Disguise of the Deceiver" armor transmogrification set.
  • Weapons reliquary (200 Platinum): Here, players can unlock weapon cosmetics for each class and receive the "Disguise of the Deceiver" set boots as a bonus.
  • Beast Reliquary (500 Platinum): Mounts and pets are awarded as rewards, along with cosmetic mount items and legs from the armor transmogrification set.
  • Armor Reliquary (800 Platinum): Unlocks for armor sets of every class, including City Portal cosmetics, make this reliquary particularly attractive.

The Deluxe Package: The Ultimate Reward

For the most demanding players, there's the Deluxe Pack for 2.800 Platinum, which instantly unlocks the "Disguise of the Impostor" set. With wings and an exclusive owl pet, buyers of this pack receive a particularly powerful equipment option.

Another highlight of the new system is the ability to claim all the rewards from one reliquary before moving on to the next. This means players no longer have to strictly adhere to a set order. This freedom opens up new strategies and ensures a personalized gaming experience where everyone can unlock rewards at their own pace.

For fans of collaborations, there's an extra treat: certain reliquaries will be available for a limited time, and the first collaboration with the manga series Berserk This will be announced shortly. This will expand the already rich Diablo universe with an exciting crossover experience.

With the introduction of Reliquaries in Season 8, Blizzard is completely overhauling the existing Battle Pass system. Players can look forward to greater flexibility, new cosmetic items, and unique rewards. This change not only fosters a deeper connection to the game but could also improve the overall gameplay experience. Fans of Diablo 4 We can look forward to what the coming weeks and months will bring – and whether Belial's return will truly be as epic as hoped.
