Disney is investing heavily in Epic Games to create a collaboration between Fortnite and the Disney universe. The plans are multi-year and reminiscent of the recent crossover with LEGO and other Disney products.

In the announcement It is said that this will create a first-class and persistent gaming experience in Fortnite, based on numerous Disney brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more. Players, gamers, and fans will be able to create, experience, and share their own stories and experiences.

“This marks Disney’s biggest entry into the world of games to date and offers significant growth and expansion opportunities. We can’t wait for fans to experience the Disney stories and worlds they love in groundbreaking new ways,” said Robert A. Iger, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company.

Tim Sweeney, CEO and founder of Epic Games, adds:

“Disney was one of the first companies to believe in the potential of merging its worlds with ours in Fortnite, and they use the Unreal Engine across their entire portfolio. Now we are working on something completely new to build a lasting, open, and interoperable ecosystem that brings the Disney and Fortnite communities together.”

The collaboration between Disney and Epic Games is not really new and already includes events and skins in Fortnite. The Nightmare Before Christmas, Star Wars and MarvelIn terms of content, much more than that is likely to be expected from this new cooperation.
