You are the last person on Earth! Developer Double Fine has just announced their latest project, 'Headlander', which will be released in 2016 for consoles and PC.

Headlander is a side-scrolling action-adventure game based on 70s science fiction. Sometime in Earth's history, humans transferred their minds into robots, and the now fully automated world is controlled by a mentally deranged computer. As the last remaining human, consisting only of a head, you are tasked with searching for clues to your past. You will quickly realize that not everything is as it seems and that humanity is not entirely lost.

The game is largely about exploring cool locations, solving puzzles, and laughing at jokes; combat is therefore less common. However, the way you destroy enemies still plays an important role in how you move through this world and fight. With a helmet, you can also dock onto robots and take control of them.

Headlander will be released in 2016.
