BioWare continues to work on Dragon Age 4, about which not much has been seen or heard so far. Nevertheless, development is said to be making good progress.
That's what insider Jeff Grubb says, who also expects a release towards the end of 2023, or "approximately 18 months from now.” All the defined milestones would therefore be met, indicating a smooth development process. The title should then be released by 2024 at the latest.
Official sources have also recently stated very optimistic and looked forward to an exciting year, even if that didn't yet include the release. Recently, it was said:
"We want to let you all know that we are continuing to work diligently on developing the next single-player experience for Dragon Age. We look forward to sharing more details with you next year."
It is expected that Dragon Age 4 Another purely single-player experience, released exclusively on the new consoles and PC. Furthermore, Tevinter will likely be the main setting, and Solas, the Dread Wolf, will probably also play a role.
No Dragon Age remaster in development
Furthermore, Grubb also commented on a possible remaster of the original Trilogy, which he believes is not currently planned.
From a story perspective, these games are not as closely linked as, for example, the Mass Effect games, which is why BioWare sees no point in re-releasing them as a complete trilogy for the new platforms.
