Bandai Namco has released a press statement a little too early today. escaped, which was actually only supposed to be sent out at E3 and thus announces a new game today – Dragon Ball Fighters.
'Dragon Ball Fighters' is a 2.5D fighting game developed by Arc System Works. (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue) Developed and likely heading in the same direction – a typical beat 'em up set in the Dragon Ball universe. The game will therefore feature 3-vs-3 battles, allowing players to create their own teams with various characters from the Dragon Ball universe. The familiar high-speed battles and special moves of the Dragon Ball series will also be retained.
According to producer Tomoko Hiroki, the decision was made to switch from 3D to 2.5D because certain things could only be implemented in this style, including a wide range of expressions and camera angles.
'Dragon Ball Fighters' will be released in early 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The official announcement is planned for June 12th.
