Bandai Namco brings Dragon Ball FighterZ The game will be released again for the PS5, this time with the rollback netcode. The new version will be released on February 29, 2024.
The update will only be available for the PS5 version, leaving owners of the last-gen version out. However, the upgrade to the PS5 version will be free. There will be no additional characters or customizations for the PS5 version. Dragon Ball FighterZ as could be seen from the announcement at EVO 2022.
"As a result of our continuous testing of the rollback system, it has been confirmed that the implementation can be applied to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and we have officially been working on its production."
The new-gen editions also benefit from the performance of the PS5, promising even better graphics paired with impressive responsiveness to player input.
Furthermore, Bandai Namco confirmed an upgrade path for those who Dragon Ball FighterZ own it on the PS4 and want to upgrade to the PS5 version.
"It will take some time for the system to be implemented, but we sincerely hope you will enjoy it as soon as possible."
On Xbox Dragon Ball FighterZ It can be enjoyed as usual via SmartDelivery, while an implementation of the rollback netcode is also planned for PC. More detailed information on this will follow later.
Dragon Ball FighterZ allows players to use their favorites from DRAGON BALL to enter the fray and use some of the most famous moves from the DRAGON BALL-universe. Using the 3 vs. 3 combat mechanic, they assemble their teams and head to the battlefield to experience exciting battles and master the different fighting styles.
It's a shame that the resources were wasted on this; I would have preferred a second part where Goku and Vegeta could transform into any form in real time, instead of each individual form being counted as a separate character in the select screen.
