With today's Dreadnought launch on PlayStation 4, captains have been given day and night variations for the new Amirani map, as well as voice chat, optional aim assist, a new bonus reward for the first daily victory, and entirely new trophies to earn for their collections. Major updates released during the open beta phase added a revamped training mode called Proving Grounds, the Onslaught mode where players compete against each other, an AI faction, and the console-exclusive Havoc mode, which features its own unlockable Junkyard Prince hero ship and is only available on PlayStation 4.

"Dreadnought offers an exciting mix of team-based, competitive, and cooperative action – combined with stunning visuals and a wide range of customization options. There's never been a better time to take the captain's chair and begin the adventure." said Mike Donatelli, Product Director at Six Foot. “However, this step forward is just the beginning for Dreadnought – we will continue to offer players new content, experiences, features and improvements in the future.”

Plans for 2018

On the Official PlayStation Blog Furthermore, the first plans for the coming year were hinted at, which state:

"Well, this is just the beginning of Dreadnought on PS4, and we'll be working on many small improvements as well as some pretty big things. For example, custom games, which will give you more control over setting up your matches, are one of our top priorities. Also, new ships and maps are on the horizon, and we're testing new game modes that will fundamentally change your gameplay."

Players who download the title for free from the PlayStation Store today can claim the console-exclusive Hactar hero ship and two themes – also free of charge. PlayStation Plus members will also have access to the Dead Man's Hand sticker and matching emblem, which are part of the "Dreadnought Maverick" DLC bundle.
